For more than 85 years, Chocolaterie des Pères has been part of Quebec’s cherished chocolate traditions. Born from the craftsmanship of the Trappist Fathers and deeply rooted in the Lac-Saint-Jean region, the chocolaterie continues a legacy built on quality, authenticity and a passion for chocolate.
Today, we are proud to carry this tradition forward by crafting artisanal chocolates that bring people together and remain part of the special moments and family traditions that matter most.
Our Story
Before becoming chocolate artisans, the Trappist Fathers settled in Dolbeau-Mistassini, where they played an active role in the development of the region. Their journey into the world of chocolate began with the acquisition of Bonbons Saguenay, a milestone that allowed them to refine their expertise and build the reputation of Chocolaterie des Pères.
In 2023, the chocolaterie entered a new chapter under the leadership of two longtime employees, Bruno Lefebvre and Joël Lavoie. Guided by the legacy passed down by the Trappist Fathers, they continue this tradition today with the same commitment to quality and authenticity.
